LGU Binalonan thru the Municipal Health Office on February 26 conducted Blood Donation Program at the Binalonan Events Tent Center.

With the program’s  battlecry, “Be Someone’s Hero, Donate Blood, Save Lives,” 118 participants who passed the screening joined the bloodletting activity.

Participated in the program were some of the municipal officials,  staff of the Rural Health Center, officers and members of the Binalonan Municipal Employees Association, Binalonan PNP, some students and employees of the WCC Aeronautical and Technological College,  University of Eastern Pangasinan,  Department of Education,  members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps, and private citizens.

Councilor Dr. Josephine Caburnay, chairperson, Committee on Health, Sanitation, and Nutrition and Municipal Health Officer Dr. Framila Cuaresma-Dela Cruz, together with the staff of the Rural Health Center, spearheaded the event. Philippine Red Cross Urdaneta administered the bloodletting activity.

Having conducted the program for several times already, LGU Binalonan received a certificate of commendation from Red Cross as a Blood Service Awardee for 2019 in recognition of “its commitment, heroism, and  volunteerism as blood donor and parter in giving hope, courage and life to those who are in dire need of blood. “
