Miss Binalonan 2020 is crowned

The Binalonan Amphitheater on February 17 was filled with shouts of jubilation and dazzling display of firecrackers as Miss Binalonan 2020 was being crowned.

Ava Videa Dacquel, a registered midwife and a nursing student, outsmarted the other 23 candidates representing the different barangays of Binalonan.

A crowd favorite, Dacquel also won Best in Swimsuit, Best in Long Gown and other minor awards. Dacquel also received a fifty thousand pesos worth of scholarship from WCC Aeronautical and Technological College.

Maan Tuazon-Guico, wife of Congressman Ramon Guico III, crowned the new Miss Binalonan. She was assisted by Miss Binalonan 2019 Louise Clendaile Penera.

It was a back to back win for Poblacion for this year’s search for Miss Binalonan.

Krysha Villanueva of Cili was first runner- up. Aloha Jomarie Inocencio of Bued was second runner-up; Ruth Paran of Balangobong was third runner-up, and Dannah Andrea Frijas of Capas, also awarded Best Smile.

Maan Tuazon Guico was the chairperson of the Board of Judges. Members of the board were Pangasinan II Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Vivian Pagatpatan, international fashion designer Rian Fernandez, beauty titlist Michelle Zalamea,  beauty titlist and TV personality Ara Hanish, and male beauty pageant winner and model Henrick Ybanez.

Councilor Noel Apolinario Bautista was the chairman of this year’s Search for Miss Binalonan. Councilor Josephine Caburnay co-chaired the search.

Jerwin Pascua choreographed the search which was hosted by Ralph Guieb, a TV host.
