Guico keynotes UEP’s 14th founding anniversary celebration, Mr., Miss UEP crowned

Owned and managed by the Local Government Unit of Binalonan, UEP on December 3 opened its four-day 14th founding anniversary celebration slated December 3-6 with Binalonan Mayor and Chairman, Board of Regents, Ramon N. Guico Jr., as the keynote speaker.

In his address, he said,”I join you in the merriments that the celebration brings. You have gone a long way in the attainment of progress in the school which in turn is the progress of the municipality.”

Addressing the school personnel, Mayor Guico said,”You deserve best of praises for the achievements you have for the past 14 years. Continue producing best accomplishments for the interest and welfare of your clientele.”

“May your past achievements bring inspiration for everybody to reach out for more progress,” Guico added.

With its theme,”Fourteen Years of Transforming Lives through Affordable and Quality Education”, the  festivities was ushered in by a Color Fun Run, Opening Program, and Thanksgiving Mass participated by the UEP officials, faculty staff, guests, and students from the different department and colleges.

Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II also gave his inspirational message.

Evelyn Abalos-Tomboc, UEP president, declared the formal opening of the celebration.

A Thanksgiving Mass held at the UEP Grounds and officiated by Rev. Fr. Numeriano Gabot Jr. capped the first day of the event.

The “Search for Mr. & Ms. UEP 2019” highlighted the 14th founding anniversary celebration on December 6 where Milo Pandaan (BSIT) and Wyeth Kziah Tacaca (BSED) were crowned as Mr. UEP and Miss UEP respectively. Ronel Cabalse (BSBA) and Julie Lance Julanio (BSCRim) were declared as 1st Runner-up winners, while  Janwell Paz (BSCrim) and Aloha Jomarie Inocencio garnered the 2nd Runner-up awards.

Meanwhile, Mobile legends on war, Laro ng Lahi such as tug of war, sack race, and amazing race, and other sports activities like basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and badminton were undertaken as part of the FD activities. Essay writing contest, poster-slogan making and quiz bee were scheduled as academic contests while the different departments had various activities like the UEP Musikahan,  and Community Day.
