Hundreds of job applicants from Binalonan and nearby towns on August 22 took advantage of the job fair hosted by Binalonan held at the Events Tent Binalonan Rock Garden.
Spearheaded by the Provincial Employment Service Office (PESO), the job fair was part of its intensified efforts to bring job opportunities to far-flung municipalities of the province.
Provincial Labor and Employment Officer III Richelle M. Raguindin, informed that out of the 344 registered applicants who came from Binalonan, Urdaneta, Manaoag and other towns, 60 were hired on the spot.
With Raguindin during the job fair were Darwin G. Hombrebueno, head of the Department of Labor and Employment of Eastern Pangasinan, and Alex F. Ferrer, Provincial Employment Service officer.
Dubbed as “Pangasinan Job Fair on Wheels,” it was participated in by nine local companies and two accredited overseas recruitment agencies which offered different job opportunities.
Some of the companies that participated were Shakey’s, McDonald’s, St. Joseph Drugstore, Savemore Market, PhilAmlife, Staff Search Asia, EEI Corporation, Relive Trading, Androme Recruitment Management Services Corporation, Sutherland Global Services, and Placewell International Services Corporation.
It can be recalled that LGU Binalonan hosted the last job fair on February 26, 2019 in the same venue.
