To help farmers, producers and proprietors from the 5th district of Pangasinan to promote their products and boost the annual yield and income of their respective enterprises, the Local Government of Binalonan inaugurated the Amazing Philippines Digital Economy Corporation (APDEC) Hub.

Said project, launched on June 21 at the Binalonan Rock Garden, is the primary initiative of Mrs. Arlyn Grace Guico, president of “I Belong Philippines” and wife of incoming municipal mayor, Ramon N. Guico Jr.

APDEC President Li-Anne de Leon discussed the advantages and benefits of digital economy, affirming that the opening of the hub will create awareness of the “quality products” of Binalonan and the rest of the fifth district of Pangasinan.

“The hub will display and promote locally-made products with the help of the Department of Trade and Industry,” De Leon said.

“With APDEC, quality products from the district and even other districts of Pangasinan will be showcased and promoted through thru the hub and on-line,” De Leon added.

Meanwhile, Steve Sy, founder and chief executive officer of Great Deals E-Commerce Corp., talked about Digital Economy, while Javi Rafael of Airspeed discussed about Logistics Processes.

Binalonan Tourism Coordinator Angelica Peregrino led the launch of some trademark local products, including bolos, knives and swords from Pozorrubio, Binalonan longganisa, various kinds of crunchies and chips, vegetable noodles, food products, pinakurat vinegar, basi, perfume, and a lot more.

Present during the dedication and product launching were incoming 5th District Representative Ramon V. Guico III , his wife Maan Tuazon-Guico and their children; Vice Mayor Melecio Patague II with some of the municipal councilors, municipal department heads and employees, education officials and teachers; barangay officials, proprietors and other guests.

Pastor Nady Olinares did the blessing and dedication of the APDEC Hub.
