Twenty four Retired Teachers Fellowship Organization (RTFO) Officers on March 21 took their oath of office during the Induction Program and Turn-over Ceremony at the Binalonan Rock Garden Tent.

Binalonan Mayor Ramon V. Guico III administered the oath taking of the new set of officials.

In his message, Guico challenged the retired teacher-officials to do their best in helping the municipality work towards the development of the town and to continue being role models to the youth as they enjoy the fruits of their labor as retirees.

Guico, who is in his last term, promised the teachers to give them their request of having a comfortable office for meetings and social functions in one of the new buildings to be established in the poblacion.

He also cited his plan to request for an ordinance to accept retirees for employment in the different establishments in the town.
He mentioned his “mega projects” which he hopes to finish before his term ends.

He enumerated the construction of the biggest dancing fountain in the province soon to be completed, establishment of an amphitheatre, museum and library, a visitor’s center, massive improvement of the town plaza, improvement of sidewalks, drainage systems and signages, installation of traffic lights in Binalonan junction, construction of sports center, the establishment of Mc Donalds and the plan of opening Chow King and Mang Inasal and others.

Guico also revealed that the biggest investment to come to the town is the Japanese Sumitomo Wiring Systems Ltd which needs a manpower of about 5,000 – 6,000 employees from Binalonan to be generated by the company.

However, Guico urged the teacher- retirees to help the municipal government improve and develop Binalonan further. The achievement of the town is the achievement of everybody, he added.

Out-going president, Zenaida L. Machacon turned-over the mantle of responsibility to the new president, former municipal councillor, Antonio M. Milanes.

Vice Mayor Melicio F. Patague II, and Brgy. Captain of Moreno , Glory Jovelyn Manaois Prado also graced the occasion.
