LGU Binalonan distributes 500 sacks of fertilizer among local farmers

To pump-prime agricultural production, the Municipal Government of Binalonan, led by Mayor Ramon V. Guico III, distributed 500 bags of fertilizers as aid to farmers whose livelihood were affected during recent natural calamities.

During the distribution held Jan. 15, Mayor Guico informed that the municipal government of Binalonan facilitated for the free fertilizer from the national government.

Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II told the farmers to share among themselves the farm equipments such as tractors, threshers, water pumps and other farm equipment given to them through their farmers association.

Through the municipal Office of the Department of Agriculture, Binalonan farmers associations were given, aside from farm equipment, soft loans thru certified corn and rice seeds, and several other forms of agricultural assistance

Municipal Agriculturist Ricardo Tabuac and the staff of the Office of the Department of Agriculture Binalonan did the distribution of the bags of fertilizers.

Also present during the distribution were Councilors Josephine Caburnay, Noel Apolinario Bautista, Jerry Aradanas, Mary Anne Baybayan, Lorenzo Tambo, Association of Barangay Captains President Bryan Louie Balangue, Federated Sangguniang Kabataan President Ronald Biado, Tabuyoc Barangay Captain Domingo Rivera, and Moreno Barangay Captain Glory Jovelyn Manaois Prado.
