Guico inducts, challenges PTA officers, cites Binalonan’s long- time programs

Binalonan Mayor Ramon V. Guico III on July 31 inducted the new Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) officers of Juan G. Macaraeg National High School.

Officers who took oath at the JGMNHS Social Hall were Ernesto P. Donato, president; Domingo C. Austria, vice president; Michelle Delos Santos, secretary; Carmelita T. Balangue, treasurer, and Larry E. Guleng, auditor.

Meanwhile, members sworn into office were Fedina A. Desamito, Marites B. Bigayan, Noel M. Garcia, Arturo O. Laroya, Arnel S. Saad, Michelle Jeanne G. Madriaga, Eduardo M. Cerami, Anabelle Janice D. Soriano and Roosevelt L. Jambaro, Jr.

Guico thanked the outgoing PTA officials headed by Milagros G. Guevarra for all the projects undertaken in the school, most recent of which was the signage “I love JGMNHS” which he has just inaugurated very recently.

In his speech, Guico challenged the newly elected officers to work well and utilize the PTA funds properly.

He also reminded the PTA officers and school administrators to coordinate with the office of the Mayor about their proposed projects for the school.

Guico said that there is already an existing development plan for the school and for the town of Binalonan.

Moreover, Guico mentioned some of his long term programs which he called “ambitious projects” for Binalonan. Some of these are the newly installed traffic lights at the Binalonan Crossing, sports center, track oval, giant dancing fountain, municipal hotel, and eco-tourism site in Binmonton.

According to Mayor Guico, three hundred million pesos is already allocated to the mentioned projects.

The mayor also informed about Grab Trike operation, Mc Donald’s and Mercury Drug’s opening in Binalonan.

Meanwhile, Milagros G. Guevarra, outgoing PTA president, turned-over all pertinent documents to the new set of officers and expressed her gratitude for the opportunity given to her to serve the school.

Ernesto Donato, newly-installed PTA president, promised to do his best to meet the demands and challenges of his work particularly in carrying-out of school projects and the like.

Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II, Councilors Josephine Caburnay, Noel Apolinario Bautista, Carl Joseph Patawaran, Marie Ann Baybayan, Jerry Aradanas , Rafael Legaspi Jr., Lorenzo Tambo, ABC President Bryan Louie Balangue and Federated SK chairman Ronald Biado were present during the occasion.
