Feb. 18 was a night for history, or as Binalonians would have it, comedy books. The Binalonan Events Tent temporarily became a “comedy bar” where the best and brightest stand-up comedians from Baguio City set the audience into jolts of endless laughter with a range of tasteful to timelessly unabashed jokes matched by entertaining song and dance numbers. Both first-timers and long-time fanatics of stand-up comedy who watched the performances raved about how much fun they had. As a part of their routine, stand-up comedians mingled and “picked” on some of audience members. Yet, everyone remained a good sport and gamely gave in to the antics of the stand-uppers.
