As a fitting event for Valentine’s Day, Municipal Mayor Ramon V. Guico III on Feb. 14 solemnized the wedding rites of 73 couples in the Kasalang Bayan 2018 held at the municipal grounds. Municipal officials led by Vice-Mayor Melicio Patague II and department heads of LGU Binalonan served as wedding sponsors. All amenities like the slicing of the cake, sipping of the traditional wine, cheers, throwing of the bouquet, catching of the bride’s garter were exuded. A surprise zumba number was done at the closing of the recption participated in by all wedding sponsors and guests from Belguim. The Kasalang Bayan is an endeavour spearheaded by the Civil Registrar’s Office chaired by the Local Civil Registrar, Amor Asuncion Nitura and undertaken every two years.It can be recalled that the mass wedding started in 2012 .
