The Binalonan Public Auditorium exploded in excitement as the Dance Explosion 2017 commenced Nov.25.
 
The dance group from Zambales won as overall champion, and received a cash prize P20,000. Coming in second is the Marikina dance group who took home Php 15,000, while Baguio ranked third who received P 10,000.
 
Aside from the 3 winning groups, 15 other dance troupes from Dagupan, Manila, San Carlos, La Union, Zambales and various towns of Pangasinan also bested each other for the top plum.
 
Criteria for judging were choreography, execution, costume and audience impact.
 
The dance competition was organized as one of the features for the Christmas Bazaar 2017 by Janet Disay Flores, SB secretary; Angelica Peregrino, tourism coordinator; Evangeline Acuar, senior administrative assistant III and Christian John Milanes, municipal photographer and videographer.
 
The activity was supported by the Municipal Officials headed by Mayor Ramon V. Guico III and the Sangguniang Bayan led by Vice Mayor Melicio F. Patague II and the Municipal Councilors of Binalonan.
 
Councilors Dr. Josephine Caburnay, Dr. Noel Apolinario Bautista, Carl Joseph Patawaran and Cesar Tomeldan, Sr. and the organizers awarded the cash prizes to the winners.
